10 Things You Probably Already Know About Me
💫 Optimistic Realist: I approach life with enthusiasm and a love for life, the universe, and everything. As a realist, I prefer my routines and have a plan for just about everything in my life. I am a Virgo Sun, Sagittarius Rising, and a Pisces Moon. Once I got to know a little bit about what that means, it totally helped me understand my communications and relationships and connections in the world. While most of the time I think being a VIRGO is awesome, I will freely admit to sometimes being TOO Virgo — and if you are not sure what that means, look up the pros and cons of Virgo Traits! And that sounds like a fun idea for a future podcast!
🏊♀️ Lifetime BIG GIRL: I was a competitive athlete from age 12 to 22 and I love to eat! My first sports team was called the AZTECS and we swam for the YWCA. Later, I played volleyball, and found my forever love in ROWING. My sports were my "weight maintainers" (is that a thing?). Once I stopped competing, I didn't know how to eat for optimum health. This has been and continues to be one of my learning curves and stepping stones!
👩👦👦 Mom of Two Fabulous Boys: Now men. I think of them as my two greatest teachers in life, the universe, and everything. I am sure I will share lots of stories as we work together!
💑 Wife: My husband is a partner in balance and my best friend. Empty nesting for us was challenging at first because we both really like our boys and they were our lives. When they left, we needed to figure ourselves out a bit and sometimes that felt a little bumpy. Now we enjoy adventures together like bike riding, hiking, whitewater rafting, and theater!

🚴♀️ Movement Enthusiast: I believe in moving every day. It is my most favorite mental wellness go-to. If I get stuck in my head, I know it is time to move my body. Movement is the foundation of all my coaching for so many reasons and it is absolutely one of my non-negotiable!
🎭 Theater Lover: Onstage, backstage, or as an audience member. Mostly these days, I am having a blast working alongside my husband in Murder Mystery Dinner Shows — interactive and improvisational theater is so much fun!
👻 Scary Movie Fan: I love to watch/not watch scary, suspenseful, and supernatural movies (not horror movies). The watch/not watch means I am there in front of the screen with hands over my eyes or a pillow in front of my face! I do feel the tension in the movie, sometimes I scream and then that release is sort of healing.
📚 Bookworm: I love to read mysteries, true crime stories, historical fiction, and rom/com novels. I promised myself during the pandemic to make time to read daily and it worked! I almost always have 4 to 5 books going—one real book next to my bed, one real book in my bag, a Kindle book, a self-help book, and an audiobook on LIBBY. I never know what I will be in the mood to listen to!
🤗 Empathetic Guide: I understand the challenge of first steps forward. I've lived the fear of the unknown and the fear of failure. I've taken those scary first steps and experienced moments of “failure” that I now see as lessons along the stepping stones of life.
👯♀️ Cheerleader for Your Inner Voices: I connect people with their inner voice that says “YES! I CAN and YES! I WILL!” and help quiet the voice that holds them back. I help my clients to make friends with their protector voices—the voices that hold them back like the critic, or fear, self-esteem. I never believed it was possible to make friends with those parts of us but then I learned how and it’s life-altering. Part of my joy is sharing the how-to with everyone and anyone who will listen!
3 New Things Happening in My Life
🎙 Starting a Podcast: I am starting a podcast, and this is terrifying and fun all at once! I can't wait to share more about this journey with you.
🌿 In-Person Reiki Appointments: I am adding in-person Reiki sessions to my offerings, available starting the second week in August. It's an exciting new way for me to support your wellness journey.
💍 Wedding Bells: My oldest son is getting married, and the big day is coming up fast! I am so happy for both of them and can't wait to celebrate this joyous occasion.
